anyone with 8mm max, karbiner or lee 329 casts handy?

Just wondering out loud here. I was shooting an old k98k with factory 323 bullets yesterday and cant get accuracy for squat. Slugging with a .325 bullet doesnt even touch so its bigger than 325. I was thinking I have an M95 steyr thats 329 or bigger... I was thinking about getting any of the above moulds to try and use 1 bullet for both. The question I have is though, can 1 bullet be used for both? I don't know the actual bore of either gun as no one I know has any casts big enough to slug both of these. Does anyone have a couple cast up they could send me a few for postage to try slugging just to see what they actual come out to? I was thinking something about .330 or 331 for slugging just to be safe.

It would be nice if the lee 329 worked for both guns

Don't have any unsized boolits on hand right now but I shoot the Lee 329-205-1R sized to .325 in all my 8x57s. My old-style SC drops .331-.332 at 209 gr. from my 'rifle' alloy...Lyman #2 'enriched' with 10% lino. Dunno what one of their current production moulds might cast but you could always 'beagle' one if needed. Just my nickel's worth.

I think I may have a few dozen of the Lee 8mm Max bullets. Alloy is two parts antimonial lead to one part 25:1 lead/tin alloy. I think I measured them at .328-.329. They should be around 11 BHN. Let me know if you think they'd be of any use to you.
