For cast I use the Lee 312-185R or 314-299 by Lyman sized .313 or .314. You can find plenty of load data on here with cast bullets in the 7.62X54 case, 1800 fps is fun to shoot all day long, enjoy!

'87 sounds about right for IHMSA changing the rules for setting rams 'cause it was around that time I switched to an XP100 in 7BR...which I also shot in the Long Range Match of the old Smith & Wesson Masters Tournament. Bill

Mobil-1 00w20 applied with a fine-mist spray bottle from Bed, Bath, & Beyond then wiped down with a sheepskin pad. (Same style of bottle I use for applying my isopropyl alcohol/lanolin case lube) Been using this for several years with no build-up...

Shipping for my last GB handgun purchase (3-4 months ago) was $35, including insurance, from FFL seller in NC to gunshop just up the road. Took longer to get the gun...IL background check and waiting period...than it took USPS to get it here. ...

Many years ago, I had a bunch of those X-Ring rubber bullets and, IIRC, they were pretty accurate...at least out to 10 meters. At that time, I was shooting in an indoor air pistol league and had a practice range with some kind of commercial pellet...

As an old IHMSA guy, I've had my share of experience with wildcat Contenders. Your '7mm Bench Rest Magnum' sounds an awful lot like the old 7mm JDJ #2 from SSK which was a necked-down 307 Win blown out to a straight-wall case with an Ackley...

My technique is pretty much the same as PRS (Post #4) using a bimetallic oven thermometer (which reads within 5 deg. of my Taylor digital meat thermometer). PC'd 350+ 500 grain RNFPs for .45-70s this afternoon without a single cull. Bill

H414 is still around, it's my 'go-to' for 210 grainers in the .30-40 Krag. Reminder: Like HP38 and WW231, H414 and WW760 are the SAME powder with different labels...load data is interchangeable. Bill

1 gal. paint can. Non-skid tape is 3M 'Safety Walk' but any bath/shower tape will work. Foam is Red Devil 'Foam Fill. #5 container is 1 pint 'Rubber Maid' but you can use any #5 that will fit inside your paint can.

Doesn't take much... a clean 1 gallon paint can (your local paint store will probably give you one or two), a couple strips of anti-skid tape (like for bathtubs and showers), an aerosol can of sealing foam, and a bit of scrap 1/4 (or thinner)...

I made a cannister for my Thumbler Rock Tumbler that holds one of my #5 plastic food storage containers. Just like shake 'n bake: boolits, Airsoft BBs, and powder to into the container, container goes into the tumbler, and in 10 minutes, I've got...

Go to the GoodRx website and enter the med you're looking for. You'll be asked to enter your ZIP code and that will generate a list of participating pharmacies and their prices for your area. Bill

In the safe, stands a .243 M700 with a Weaver K6 (El Paso) that I bought for myself in 1972 as a college graduation present. Never used it on deer but it's dropped more than its share of fox, coyote, and 'chucks over the years. And, even with...
