    cleaned and sized
    pieced together.
    almost done.
will paint tomorrow. Then cut face plate when get parts. I guess it is nice to be retired and bored.

That would have been easier. I wanted to go with plastic but figured hot lead and melty stuff does not mix. Do you have a schematic? The one on the sticky does not come up. I d rather follow a diagram than easter egg it.

I made my case from the traditional PC power box. The local PC shops give dead ones away free.

Depends on which PID you use. Think I have stuff for the 3 different ones that are usually used.

Nice metal work, I like the idea of the guys using a metal ammo can. A 30.cal would probably be just right.

I'm happy to help you with a schematic. What do you plan to include: on/off switch, fuse(s), indicator light, 110V receptacle, terminal strip? -Ed

I used a dead UPS case. It now holds 2 PID's for my 2 Lee pots.
    Hooroo.

So you pour from one pit to the other and get clean lead?

Done it that for quite awhile also and added a 2nd PID for the top pot fairly recently.

Lots of radio shacks are going out of business. Prices cut throughout the store. I bought about 2 of everything for pid's except the controller which they don't sell.

Nice job, stormingnorm. Retired is good, time to do more interesting things than work . Bored? Nah.

Plastic is fine for housing a PID, as you can keep it away from any hot bits (all mine are in plastic housings, much easier to work with). Ausglock, I used a plastic UPS case too, unfortunately mine was considerably bigger than yours and needed some serious cutting to reduce its size!

How dare you do something like that from scratch?!!!

Your going to get some people very uptight for all the time and effort to make one from scratch when you can buy one already made....

looks great!! Kudos for you in the skills you have!

I took welding classes so I could work on a 1958 willy jeep truck. Truck still needs work but beyond my expertise. So I make little rinkidink things I need but am to cheap to buy. I saw a stand in reloader mag that puts your press at eye level making it easier to see when you are setting the boolit in the case with out the bleeding pinched fingers. So I made it out of scrap I had laying around.
