    WMR powder $5 pound

Local distributor is closing out WMR. Is there any good application for this powder in cast boolit shooting. It's cheap, but if it doesn't work good, I'll pass. I shoot 30.06, 6.5X55. any reason to buy this?

I'll take it all!! I use it quite a bit in the 06 with 220 and 240 grain slugs. Good accuracy and speed.

I have a Winchester manual from 1997 that lists WMR for heavies(200grain and up) in 30-06 and for 140-160 grain jacketed in 6.5X55.
If you like heavy bullets in 30-06 and shoot your 6.6X55 much it should be a good powder for you.

At that price, it would make good trading material.

They have had it for sale at Third Generation for quite sometime at $140/8lb http://store.thirdgenerationshooting...fm/2,6729.html

If you use it I'd buy it as the price you are quoting is a steal. Even if I didn't use it I'd buy 20 or 30lbs at that price then buy a rifle to use it in.

Same here, I would buy every can they had.
I wonder how it would do in a garand with 202 grn cast?

should be great. It is in the ballpark of 4831 and being a ball powder prefers a full case so the heavier the bullet the better to take up space.

If you use it with 220gr in the '06 it sounds like it would work well in the 35 Whelen. I'd like to give it a go.

I would buy it all, and be all smiles out the door.
