There is a member here; shady grady, that will trade lead for zinc. Most scrap yards will buy zinc ww's also.

I think shady is out of business. Save them and take them to a srapyard or buy a cheap pot and mold and try your hand at casting zinc

I just threw mine in the trash. I only had maybe 10 pounds at the most from three 5 gallon buckets of WW.

I may haul them to the scrap yard when I have enough, I have no desire to cast zinc even for fishing weights. I use natural gas to heat my pot and I'm pretty sure it will take to much time to get the zinc hot enough to pour ?

The melting temp of zinc is only slightly higher than lead.

I apologize shadygrady. I emailed you last year about a trade and thought you said that you didn't trade zinc anymore.

I save the zinc weights until I have enough to scrap. Steel and plastic WW get thrown away.
