I want a 450 as well. Alvarez kelly had a 450 frame on ebay last week or so, but I had other things come up and couldn't bid on it. Even if I can find a bare 450 frame I would get the parts from Dillon to build it back up.
I want the solid head for rifle and case forming. I have the 550 and have had it since '96 and love it!

That's a fine idea if you can still get the parts needed to return it to "original".....and your idea is the same as mine....mostly...

Well... I have several basic 450s. I have plenty of manual priming parts. I even have a spare 450 frame around here somewhere... but I don't have any of the manual powder measures.

I bought a 450 for rifle cartridges. I purchased 450 powder dies and powder measure adapters for use with rotor powder measures such as the RCBS Uniflow measure. This works well in the absence of the Dillon manual measure. I've purchased and traded several Dillon parts with Alvarez Kelly and always happy.

Goldendale is a nice place. Years ago my folks and I used to stop at Pine Springs for lunch and politics.

    Hi.
They are STOUT! Love my "early" model!

Are the connecting rods original color or did you paint them. I have 2 450s and mine have blue rods instead of the grey that are in your picture.

and +1 on Kelly, he helped me rebuild my old 450.

I'm not seagiant, but I can answer your question. Those are the original color. They are made of brass. His is a very early model RL450. Dillon probably used what they had left over from the manufacture of the RL300.

I have seen a few of these, but not more than a dozen. Seagiant has an exceptionally clean, original one.
