Very sorry for not having pics but my camera was away on vacation with my wife
Opening day in Wisconsin was very, very windy saw no deer movement in the a.m so a little apprehensive about the rest of the day I went ahead to my stand location, after all its opening day
I arrived at approx. 1:50p.m and at around 4:00 I see slight movement.Turns out it is a small buck, well I wasn't going to kill him but the way the day had gone I changed my mind.I waited on him for 1/2 hour to get in a good shot position which he finally did at around 4:30 p.m. I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag. with a Ultra Dot on it one shot and its a bang flop.Turns out that my shot was the correct height but the boolit caught him in the neck while he was bent down searching for acorns.I paced it off at 72 yds.I used a 265 gr.Mihec 265/640 h.p cast with 16/1 alloy sent on its way from a Winchester case filled with enough IMR 4227 to give me 1227 f.p.s
my first ever pistol kill this is the handgun however I did install th original grips and the ultra dot
