I have a number of milsurps. Collected and been shooting them for over 25 years. Little bit of a twist on this thread. Have a cpl I am going to part with. Would really like them to go to someone who would appreciate them - and NOT chop them up!!!

One is a Finn capture 91/30 MN. Other is a nearly perfect Argentine 1909 Cavalry Carbine, dom 1910. If you are interested, pls pm me. I can provide pics, etc. I will NOT respond about them in this thread.

I also have a partial box of 7x57 ammo and brass - no longer have the rifle. If anyone needs it, pm me and we can work out details. Thanx

A good Russian contract model '95 can easily go over $3,000. 3 week old info from my LGS and a firearms liquidator/auction house.

K98 sporter, Lee Enfield Number 4 Mk 1 wood cut. 91 Argentine wood cut. 91/30 Mosin, Spanish FR8, Model 38 Carcano 7.35 and Model 91/41 6.5x52. Chinese SKS and Yugo SKS. 1911 Swiss Schmidt Ruben, Remington Rand 1911 A1, S&W 1917 .45DA. I am looking everyday for milsurps that are not chopped cut or drilled but they are not laying all over like they were when I was younger. This is the second time around for most of these guns for me. I owned other actually better examples of most of these 30 years ago. My ex-wife thought she and her boyfriends deserved them more than me. I like shooting them even if they aren't original.

Picked up a K-11 today. Here's a pic of it sitting below my Yugo SKS. Hopefully add an Enfield and Spanish FR-8 at some point

Mind telling me what you gave for the K11? I have one to sell, have no idea of a price.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
John Taylor - "African Rifles and Cartridges"

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

I would suggest browsing here, this is where I bought it from. That way you can match the condition of yours to a price. I paid in the upper range of their value, because the one I wanted was a 1914 manufacture and in excellent condition inside and out.

Friend of mine in Cody, WY has a 95 in 30-06. IIRC, he got the rifle as payment for butchering out a couple of beeves.

The 7.62X54r sounds like a great combination with the model 1895 action. Is there any sign of lug setback? Some milsurp Russian ammo may be too hot for the 95 action, as the .30 M1 Ball proved to be.

If I had a Winchester model 1895 in .303 or .30-40 it would be the pride of my collection.
Nope Winchester had a contract with Russia for these for WW I before the Red Revolution. After the revolution Russia defaulted on the payments so Winchester had quite a few stockpiled. Mine was made in 1916 and it is the factory chambering.

For pistols I have a CZ52, a CZ82, a M85 Nagant, and a Romanian TT-33 Makarov. Also have a Winchester 95 lever action chambered in 7.62X54R. A design made for Russians during WW I, but I don't think this one ever made it to Russia....no Russian proof marks on the barrel and was it was not modified to accept charger clips. By the serial number it was manufactured in 1916, probably after Russia defaulted on their payments because of their Red Revolution.
A few more Mosins, I'm up to 17. Also picked up a Spanish 1916 Mauser converted to .308 Win.
