Scored this cast iron ingot mold for cheap! God Bless America! Pass the ammo...
Nice find!
Do they fit in your melting pot alright?
That's a really neat ingot mold. Any idea what it was originally used for?
Yes, i believe they will foot into my put ok, but i will check in a bit. It is a muffin pan or for corn bread. It is cast iron and they are worth a little bit on the collectors market. I scored it for $5 from a local friend. I had to grind out a couple little voids that would have made getting the ingots out impossible. Only on two molds though. I was smelting with DukeInMaine today actually. A great day for it and good to hang out with Orville for a few hours. Always a learning experience!

Easy fit in the pot! They are about 1.5#each. Here is a better picture. The second batch was prettier:
If you want them to come out looking real good you can hold a torch to it for a minute.... It takes out alot of the wrinkles and rough patches.
