X termanator is my #3 choice behind 748 and TAC. Good powder for 223 and meters quite well.
I was doing some reading before I bought the jug of X. It seemed that 55 grain and up it was suggested to use X instead of TAC. What bullet weight you loading? I have some TAC here and have good luck with it behind 55gr bullets, so it seems like it is a toss up.

I prefer 748 and TAC is a close 2nd, I use them for other rounds like 308, 7-08, etc. x term, I load the 3 gun ammo with 55g FMJ's due to cost.

Nice! 3 gun <Sigh> I miss shooting competition. I need to get back into it. Part of the reason I went with X was I could use it for the 308 too. Just like pistol, the fewer kinds of powders I need for the calibers I shoot, the better.
