My Favorite Bullet to cast and shoot!

I just spent an hour casting these from the RCBS mold. My favorite cast boolit!

    What mold is that?

Those are about as close to casting perfection as you can get. Nice work!

Thanks guys! This is the RCBS mold and I am about to develop new loads for my new toy, a Remington 722 in 222 Rem. I have shot these in 22-250 with good results a while ago.
    This Lyman #2 alloy.

I had great results with the 22-250 with 2400 and Unique. I hope for better results with 222. I am now through casting and this is what I ended up with yesterday. And yes, I bad to recycle various containers ;>).

    No crimp groove.

Nice yield and quality. Was your 22-055 recently manufactured? What's the as-cast diameter on the band and nose?

It's not about gun control, it's about people control. The progressives are using terrorists and the insane to further their agenda. If the socialist news media wasn't complicit, we could sit back and watch Fast & Furious and Benghazi-gate unfold.

Yes, newly manufactured, got it 2 months ago from Midway. The nose is .221", bands are .227" and I am sizing to .225". I generally do not crimp them but if I do I roll the case slightly over the upper band. It worked well in the 22-250, although I did not crimp many of them. Malcolm

Don't overlook IMR 3031. I use 18 grains in my 223 under the same bullet. Got a box of em in my avatar.

I'm getting ready to try the same mold and see how well they go through my 223.
