i'm wondering what everyone does with their Dross?
just trash it?
or is there a way to save to bits of lead and tin that might go with the crud?
hoping for some good input. as i searched but didn't find anything.

Some scrap yards will buy it. Some guys save it and smelt it again to get more out of it. Some guys wrap it up and throw it away.
If I am outside using my cajun banjo, I put it in the 5 lb ladle and super heat it, directly on the flame. Pour back in the mix and dump the trash/dirt/dust out. Still alot of good alloy in the dross.
I would rather fish. Can you shoot fish ?

I like to run mine through again until there is just ash left, then dump it with the trash.
Put in a bag and placed in the trash.
I consider my dross trash and throw it away.
I save mine and put in #10 cans. Dose with old motor oil and put the can top back on over the dross. Then build a fire with some of the cans of dross set in circle in the fire. A nice fire, more fire rather than less. Usually burning yard debris and limbs etc... Slightly cant the cans with a chip of brick or other. When fire die down and long gone to cold check and can have ingot in bottom. Test for hardness as can be variable pending on dross source.

10 ga that is a real good idea
Good idea 10! I been tossing my little dross lumps in the edge of the woods so I'd know where it was. I didn't want to throw it away, because it was still kinda heavy and I know there must be somethin' good in there. Besides, if any tin did oxidize and got skimmed... that's where it went. Maybe I'll get some of it back now.
Mmmm learn here every time I come and read.
