Does anybody load for 32 H&R Mag

I recently bought a Ruger Single Six in 32 H&R Mag and want to start loading cast boolits for it . I am probably going to load regular loads but, also mouse fart loads . Does anyone have a favorite boolit mold ? I did a search but it didn't show any usefull info .

    Thanks Dan

I only have one mold, RCBS 98gr SWC (102gr with my alloy). It shoots will in the 32 H&R with 2.7 of W231 or HP38. It's a nice light plinking load.

I use the same RCBS mold as DistRifle over 3.3 gr. of Universal Clays. Feels slightly stronger than a .22. It can be loaded up very hot if you want. I just got a new Saeco mold that I will soon try out.

The RCBS 98 ge swc is a real winner. 3118 does good if you want a heavy.
For a nice 32 Long load out of it try the Lee 90 gre swc and 2.5 gr Red Dot.

I've used Unique, Win 231 and Bullseye in the .32 H&R with both Federal (lots of case neck splits in that early brass...don't know if they've done better lately) and Starline (first rate brass.). I use Win Sm Pistol Primers exclusively for all the following loads. Given the choice, I'd size all of these bullets to .312" as it's good in both guns. I didn't slug the bores however, and leading has been minimal.

In a S&W M-16-?, both Unique and Win 231 or HP 38, and Bullseye are good.
    Commercial 100gr BBLSWC, sized .312": 4.1 Unique = 1.5" at 25 yds
    Commercial 100gr BBSWC, sized .312": 3.0 Win 231 = 1.25" @ 25 yds
    Lyman 311008, WW, sized ,311": 2.6 Win 231 = 1.5 @ 25yds
    Lyman 311008, WW, sized .311": 3.1 Bullseye = !.0" @ 25 yds

Ruger's Single Six "Baby Vaquero" with a 4-5/8" barrel, Unique and Win 231 were good. Didn't load any with Bullseye.
    Commercial BBLSWC, sized .312": 4.0 Unique or 3.8 of Win 231 = 1.5" at 25 yds
    Hornady Swagged 100 LSWC, sized .310": 3.8 Unique = 2-3" @ 25 yds
    Bonus Commercial 93 gr BBLSWC sized .312": 3.2 to 3.7gr of Win 231 or 4.0 Unique = 1.25" @ 25 yds.
The 4.0 gr load of Unique chrono's at 950 fps.

As always, these are my loads, safe in my guns; work up slowly for yours and check a cpl manuals for details.

If you can find a little SWC (I use an Ideal mould that drops 50/50 COWW/Pb bullets around 95 gr) you can put them in a 32 S&W L case on top of 1.8-2.0 gr of Bullseye, and shoot them safely through any 32 so chambered.

Right now the 32 is cheaper to shoot than a 22 LR if I cast my own boolits . Now all I need to find is a Marlin in 32 mag to complete the family as I have a Marlin in 45 LC

A Marlin just listed on Gunbroker for $1200. I can't believe what those rifles are bringing, especially when it's easy to get a 32-20 one for less than half of what a 32 H&R goes for. And the 32-20 can do the same thing and a whole lot more.

Anyhow, back to 32 H&R, I shoot a lot of Hunter's pistol with it. Either #3118 or the Ranch Dog version of the same thing, over 5.5gr. AA#5 is fast and accurate. This is beyond SAAMI levels though, fine in my Rugers and S&W but probably best not used in a H&R revolver.

I also built a Remington #4 in this caliber. Again, #3118 or the Accurate black powder boolit over a compressed charge of FFFg works very well. Too low pressure for the Rugers though, the primers back out and tie up the cylinder.

I have a 94 grain rnfp I load with 3.5 grains of 231. It clocks 849 fps from a custom 3.75" Single Six Vaquerito. Recoil is light and accuracy very good.
