    Col4570,
Good looking rifle! Seems set up for hunting and would do very well for that.

Last one of those types I shot was at least 15 years ago. I think the fellow who owned it was trying to make a "poor man's" 458 Win Mag out of it- loaded with way too much poop and I didn't trust it nor the brass.

I imagine with reasonable trapdoor up to Winchster 86 loads with a good bullet it would be the bee's knees.
    Trust but verify the honeyguide

Excellent job. I haven't gotten to shoot my 71/84 yet, but looking at the muzzle I suspect I'm going to want to have it counter-bored - doesn't look quite symmetrical (assuming cleaning rod wear). But it might shoot just fine - one never knows about such things until tried.

One of the most under-appreciated rifles in the world, I think. So far advanced over the primitive Trapdoor that the USA was using at the same time. Bought one that is virtually new at a gun show about 15 years ago, for peanuts. Why they don't bring the kind of money that Trapdoors do today still amazes me.
