The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
Great people will now be baiting eagles with unwanted kids. lol
We will now be required to buy eagle insurance.
It's a fake, a studio in Canada has admitted they CGI'd it.
There was one I saw where an eagle snatched a kid goat off a cliff so anything is possible

They train and use them to hunt wolves in russia, iirc.
They weren't golden eagles though.
I saw the one with the goats. Eagles are pretty strong.
I seen that on the news this morning...I hope it was doctored up
In Russia, Mongolia and other parts of Asia they do use Golden Eagles to hunt wolves. Golden eagles are circumpolar in distribution and inhabit all of the northern hemisphere continents. Genetically, DNA speaking, I'm sure the different areas are an identifiable "race" from one another. The biggest of the eagles are the Phillipine "Monkey Eating Eagle" of SE Asia and the "Harpy Eagle" of South America. Are they able to "take" infants, probably, but not likely unless the children are used as "bait or lure". Merry Christmas to all! 10 ga

I think it would be hard to fake this one.
WE WON. WE BEAT THE MACHINE. WE HAVE CCW NOW.
IIRC, Elmer Keith wrote about Eagles killing goat and sheep kids. They would not pick them up just hit them hard enough to knock them off a cliff. Then they could fly down and eat the remains.

I saw a video of one that tried a coyote, it barely got it off the ground, but lost it.
Good morning
Biggest eagle I have seen in Peru (Yalaque Valley) stood near 2.5 feet tall (estimated off the rock it stood next to along the trail) and would not let me measure the wing spread which was maybe more than 5 feet. Almost all gloss black. Seen several off & on.
The large Condors in Peru will take small children (unattended). It is commonly taught out in the high altitude villages (10,000+) to never leave a small child unattended. Average condors can have wing spans of 12 feet and lift 25 pounds facing into the normal stiff breezes up there. Larger condors are rarer but still out there.

Male Guanaco out in dry lakebed at 10,800 feet south of Arequipa.
I was fully camo'ed up and lying in a water hyacinth covered layout boat once, and watched a very large bald eagle make several attempts at lifting an approximately 10 lb dead fish from right next to the boat. It was like watching a helicopter lifting operation. He would fly in, hover, hook up, then beat his wings like a hummingbird for about 10 seconds, fly off, rest, repeat. This was at very close range, I could have poked him with the shotgun barrel several times.
He never got the fish more than about halfway out of the water and eventually gave up.

Never laugh at your wife's choices.
You are one of them.
For purposes of falconry the eagles are not expected to retreive the prey, only kill it. The prey is then retreived by the falconer and a reward given to the bird. Often the wolves were hunted by both eagles and dogs simultaneously. Certainly a neat "blood sport" and quite exciting to be a part of. Peregrine falcons regularly kill ducks and gulls but cannot carry them away but simply feed on them wherever they fall, usually open beaches or grassy marshes etc...
