    It's Unique, really it is!

Yes I have a new / old 22. New to me but made in about 1955. Remember when Ward's sold guns? This is a Unique D or Corsair series with a 4" barrel and is marked Wards Model 5. The unique part is that the gun came in a book. The gun is fitted into a case made to look like a book. The grips on the gun in the picture are a spare set of field grips as the gun came with thumb rest target grips that have been put away. Now the real nice thng is that this gun was made when quality guns had GOOD triggers. This one breaks at 3 pounds even and the gun shoots as well as some modern TARGET pistols. It groups better than my Ruger heavy barrle at 25 yards.

    Neat gun and case.
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

That's a nice pistol and unique case for it. Like others, I spent time 'visiting' the guns at MW and Sears when I was a pup.

Might be a Beretta copy but I think more likely it is a copy of the Walther TT Olympic from the 20's. They have made these for years and I think you can still get them overseas.
