Iowa Fox replied to a thread Lube questions in Boolit Lube !
Fastleo keep your eyes open for a used Lyman 450. Garage sales, craigslist, gun shops that sell junk (which are hard to find these days). They are usually pretty grungy but half an hour under a heat lamp and it all melts off, quick wipe with a paper...

Iowa Fox replied to a thread kitchen cabinets in Our Town
I know that my wife and I would not buy cabinets from Lowes or Home Depot. When we repainted our bathroom in the basement a few years ago we removed everything. The old vanity had been in there for about 35 years so we thought maybe slip a new one...

I'll throw another option out for the little pistol rounds in the qty's you listed. Look for a used Square Deal. The 550 & 650's are great presses. I didn't know how well the Square Deal worked until I got one. Easy to change from one cartridge to...

The group buy did two 311041. One was in plain base one was GC. Another one I got was the 358627 as I think about it 358156 plain base, Lar did a real nice 360180 flat nose GC Then someone did the same in plain base. I got in on all of them and they...

Yes in the old days the Lee group buys are all we had. I jumped in on no less than a half dozen. Delivery times were long and I remember at least once maybe more a member or two passed away before taking delivery of the molds they paid for. Some...

Its a good thing postage was cheap back in the old days when we were ordering stuff out of their catalog. Every now and then we would make a trip to their Iowa Falls store. They made clay birds in the lower level of the store and I liked watching...

Thanks Mary. Would love to find one of those at a garage or tag sale. Maybe I'll just get my wife one for her birthday.

I've ordered a few things and their website is easy and the shipping is fast and reasonable. I like their newsletter and now they are carrying Dillon. Thanks Titan.

Mary, can you elaborate on this crock from your usage? I looked at the link and the customer reviews. We use a 3 gal crock per batch with a plate and a rock on top. Its tricky and you can get a spoiled batch easy if you don't watch it.

We love home made sauerkraut and make 15-30 pounds of it every year. When I was a kid I remember helping my grandmother make it, now our grown kids are making it also. Late white Dutch cabbage makes the best kraut. We use my wife's moms old cutter...

Wouldn't worry about it 6bg6ga. How about all those drunken sailors in the Philippines buying the prostitutes baluts in the bars to win their favor. Sure glad I was in the Army.

Yes the 6 TCU was a factory 14" and custom shop offering offering. I've got 2 of them, one's still new in the box. The reason they were not seen much on the silhouette range is they lacked knock down power. Even a lot of the 7BR's were rechambered...

Joe, if your over 60 with no sons or grandsons you might be ok for the calibers you listed. If you have sons & grandsons like mine you better get a bunch more empty 5 gal buckets.

I didn't make it out, laid up with a bad back. The neighbors son shot a very nice buck with a Marlin 45/70 using cast. The Marlin was his grandfathers and the cast bullets were cast by his grand dad. I think he passed away about 10 years ago so his...

Prairie Dogs are tough little guys. I've seen them almost cut in half and still crawl back in the hole.
