    165gr .309 for .308win

I am trying to find load data on this particular boolit, but I can't find which mould it was dropped from:
http://www.thebulletbarn.com/pricelist-r.html (third boolit from the top)
    30 RNFP DLG BB

I have 400 of these, they are more like 163gr on average. I want to develop a load using WC735 (see thread http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show....php?t=16266): basically using load data for H322 or H335 less 5%. I'm don't have any gas checks at the moment :P

Does anybody have any advice for me as far as load data for these particular powders?

All I can say is, you better not push that bevel based bullet too fast.
If I had 400 of them and I wanted to shoot them, I'd throw 9.0 grs. of Unique for the 308 Win. That might be a fairly accurate load with that particular bullet ?

The plain base / bevel combined are going to be controlling factors as to what velocity that bullet will tolerate.

That bullet is not a GC'd design as Ben notes. I suggest a starting load of 5.5 gr Bullseye and work up in 1/2 gr increments to 7.5 gr stoppong when accuracy goes south. That should get you upwards of 1200 fps. With Ben's suggested use of unique you might push 1500 - 1600 fps with decent accuracy. The powders you're asking about probably will drive the bullet too fast for accuracy before efficient and consistent ignition is reached.

Or modify the bases using a lee chamfer tool so you can add a gas check. Might want to check out this post over at GBO.

I have about 600 of the same bullet. I traded some gunsmith tools for 750 and used a quantity for some paper patching experiments. They shoot well patched, but are harder than what I want.
I will be putting them up for sale in a few weeks.

I believe that they were poured in a Magma Mould.

    Thanks.

I wish I had some Unique or Bullseye, and gas checks - but all I have is the surplus WC735.

If anybody has an H322 or H335 load please let me know.

Production bullet from Magma mold designed for easy drop from mold when using machines to cast, too hard for hunting, and not made for higher vel.
