If you're shooting .223 Remington in an AR15 with a 5.56MM chamber and are using an X-die, are you using a small base or standard RCBS X-die?
My chamber seems to definately be on the tight side and I'd been considering the X-die anyways, so was looking at the small base. I'm concerned about the number of reloadings possible with the small base die vs. smooth chambering. I know the standard and small base have an area of manufacturing where they overlap, but I've never needed a small base die in a semi automatic before.
Can anyone coment on their results?
Thanks,
Dave
