    What is beagling tape?

This may sound like a stupid question, and I have asked a few in my day. What is beagling tape? It was mentioned on a list of things to get when slickin up lee molds. I drilled and taped the holes like the article said without any problem. Every where I went I asked people if they knew what that stuff was. No one and I mean no one knew. If it was intended as a joke, well ya got me. If it's real , please educate me someone. Thanks-seabat0603

I think most are using the metal foil tape that HVAC stores use on ductwork, send me a PM with your address and I'll mail you a strip of it.

3M High-Temperature Flue Tape 2113NA. I got mine at the Ace hardware in town, but they had to order it. Rated for 600dF.

The HVAC stuff works, but after awhile the glue gets a little seepy and the tape moves around. That does not happen with the flue tape.

Clean up required a good solvent like card cleaner, coleman fuel, mek, or the like.

You only need the beagle tape if you have molds that cast undersize and you need the boolets bigger in diameter then it is used to shim the mold open a little.

One layer of the aluminum duct tape will increase boolit diameter about .001", while the flue tape will produce about .003". At least, that is what happened with the brands I bought at my hardware store.
