They may be difficult to pour and I'm guessing under a pound.

Here is what I did. They are welded from the bottom side. They don't need to be water tight but close. Say hello to lightman for me. Best of luck with your project.
Those are sweet moulds. Nice job.

good idea. in my case I have to go with cans on hand (pictured) - sim. to 50 cal. cans, which were former U.S. DOT transportation boxes for nuclear medicine isotope filled syringes (max 2 per can in 50#'s of pure lead shielding) that became obsolete and were headed to the dump when I moved 85 FREE cans and their lead content into casting and reloading. this "haul" is what started me in casting in the first place. right place. right time.
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

Pics of my molds and enhanced turkey fryer stand. I welded some rebar legs (3) to the existing three legs. Should be able to hold a great deal more weight without the “fear factor”! The molds are 8.5” long. I was able to get three molds (a 2 banger and 2-3 bangers) out of the double center support of a king Hollywood bed frame! Interesting side note about the molds. The brown paint won’t melt off while pouring lead! Tough stuff.

Ps. I haven’t learned how to turn pics around yet.

Consider the length according to the size of your pot. I made mine with straight sides and the ingots fall out with the mold upside down and a little tap on the ground.

    You wouldn't want his gravity.

Pics. When you are saving pics from your phone to the site here choose the small or medium size option and your pics should show up ok. I had the same issue.
