    New Frankford Arsenal press

Just got the Mid South email flier.
Frankford Arsenal has come out with a new press.
It looks like a Foster Coax, with some small changes.

Been discussed a few times on this forum already. You have guys that want to buy one. And you have guys that don’t want to because of the die blocks you have to buy.

The reloading community is really hurting for new single-stage presses....LOL

What is it made of? Cast aluminum? or iron? I cannot be certain from looking at the pictures. If aluminum I would have serious doubts concerning the strength of the two "C" arms. Redding tried this design 60 years ago using iron "C" arms with a more pronounced curve that quickly broke.

The second notation from the top in the right hand photo says “Heavy duty cast iron construction”.

looks like they are simply copying the Forster Co-ax, with some revisions. I have a Forster press, and like it a lot, but would not consider the Frankford. First because it is a knock off, and secondly, I would hate to pony up an extra $20 to buy three of their "special blocks". Like many of you, I load for a bunch of calibers, and would want blocks for each die set....

I'm embarrassed to say I have a co-ax press that I've never used.
got it used, but it's all complete and in good condition.
    Never had to.

well, you don't have to feed it, and it isn't loosing value....so,maybe a good investment.

I have use an RCBS Rock Chucker for 20 years. Nothing wrong with it and it has served me well, I love it. I did recently purchase a new Lyman All American 8 Turret press.
So far I am very happy with it. I bought three extra turret heads. I like having all of my dies preset. I really like having the option now to keep neck expanding dies set for all of my different 30 cal stuff. 30-30, 308, 30-06, 300blk....

As far as the Frankford press, I would just hold out for a Forester instead.
