    Northstar question

I hope Waksupi notices this thread, as I'm trying to find out who made the locks and barrels for Northstar's NWTG.
Were Northstar West's locks and barrels made "in house" or by someone else?

TIA for any infor, and I hope everyone has a GREAT 4th.

The locks were made in house. The barrels used to be made by Long Hammock. Matt told me recently he was having someone else make barrels, but can't remember the name at the time. Both makers were good, as I would inspect each barrel before putting them on a gun.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

The early ones were made by Curley Gomtoskey (spelling?). That's all I think I remember.
