Though I regret to say, any holster used extensively will damage that like-new finish on your pistola.

This is a Hunter 1100 for the 5" 1911. IIRC they are 49.95 from Midway.

Excellent suggestions by all. I'd give some thought to a shoulder holster. It's (for me) the most comfortable way to carry a full-size 1911. Agreed that it does have its drawbacks if you need to remove the pistol and holster quickly, and you can't conceal the pistol under a loose shirt.

Heck, get both types and use whichever fits the situation.

    Cheers,
    Richard

I have had numerous iwb holsters and this one is the most comfortable that I have found
Heard good things about this one. Think I will order one.

I rather enjoy my Crossbreed Supertuck. I might add, I am 5'7" and 215lbs, so have a small bit of belly that comfortably rolls over the top and helps hide the gun over the waistband. I also bought the Tandy Leather "SemiAuto" slide style/pancake style holster. Being able to have it mold directly to my gun made for a very nice fit. I do wish it had a band to keep the top open when the gun is not in the holster, it does effect reholstering of the Tandy style. I have no problems with reholstering on the Crossbreed.
