    Mini mauser

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a complete action for a mini Mauser in 7.62x39. Gotta special project I want to try out.

I haven't but I'm hoping someone has ID rather not have to pull a barrel and have it sitting around.

I ordered just an action in the early 90's (Interarms Mini Mauser) at that time I believe Brownells sold them as well.

I was going to make an XP-100 style pistol but it eventually ended up as a 17-222 rifle.

I have found it generally cheaper to buy a complete firearm, and salvage the action. For some reason people think an action is worth more than a rifle.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

You can buy cz 527 actions in 7.62x39. They are on gunbroker and I believe buds guns has them.

You will also have to replace the bolt head or open the 223 one up to use the 7.62 , I think you can buy a bolt head from , Midway or brownells

The issue is I am not doing a 7.62 build I am doing something else and the case head is close enough that I can get away with only minor changes.

The Interarms Mark X, Charles Daly, Remington 799s (and full-sized 798s), and now Zastava minis are generally nicely finished metal (although usually kinda stiff working as new) that could use better stocks, although the supplied wood is serviceable.
They normally shoot pretty well as is, and quite a few shoot really well with good handloads.
They're light and handy, but the latest stocks could stand to shed even more weight... They're pretty boxy and unattractive as issued, but the wood appears worth whittling on to better match the slender barrelled action.

    Good luck on your project.
I want to barrel a CZ 527 action in .357 Maximum or Magnum.
The 7.62x39 bolt face will work perfectly

That's the exact project I'm looking to do with it. If I get to it before you do I'll let you know how it works out
