anybody have a good accurate load for 100 to 300 yards. I would still ladder test but would like a opinion on others results

I'll have to look through my notes when I get home. I have used TAC before, and find it to be an excellent powder in 223.
I have had great sucess with TAC as well both in cast and jacketed 223 in a 1 in 9 twist panther arms DPMS AR.
Havnt tried it in my Savage bolt action dog gun yet.
AR I believe 17.5g TAC with an NOE .228" 72 grain aluminum gas checked bullet powdercoated and lubed with MML+ was giving me 1.5" at 100 yds.
Just started playing with the Lee 55g flat point mold again, 17-18 grains lioked ok at 2000fps, and 20 grains was looking beter at 2400 with my alloy.
Ill have to check my notes for jacketed numbers. Havnt shot much jacketed in the rifles in the last 1-2 years.
By the 1 Lb jug I find it around here for about 24 bucks and its almist always in stock everywhere.
I've only burned one pound and never found any more around here BUT, 23.0g and a 69g Sierra Match king were clover leafing at 100 yards from my 9 twist CZ527
5 rounds all touching one another. The results repeated for the entire pound as well. Very consistent with 60g soft points and 55g Vmax as well. I need to get out and find some more.
I used it for one season of highpower competition worked as well as anything else(h335, A2230 )with the lighter 55-69 gr bullets , went back to Reloader 15 for the heavier 75-80 gr stuff , Its decent powder but won't do anything better or worse than others could in my experience with it
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
In my tikka t3 1 in 9 twist 69 match kings work great around 25 gr ,shoots 55gr to 69 gr well.
Thanks for all the replies , I post my results when work slows down
Looked over my notes. For my savage bolt action I have 25.4g of TAC listed as an OCW load for 55 grain rnds and used it for
sierra blitzkings #1455, sierra HP # 1390
Nosler Varmageddon FB tipped # 17240 or 17270 bullets.
As well as standard red tipped 55g noslers.
All worked with excelent sub MOA results at 100 yds.
As always, work your loads up and check several references.
Good luck.
I use TAC for 55-77gr jwords and cast. From .223 pressure to max 5.56 loads (with jacketed) it works well.
24.5 gr with a j word 55 gr is a good plinking losd, very accurate. They claim you dont want to ho with a lighter bullet than that, ymmv.
Since my savage 1/9 shot out and I replaced it with a 1/14 Shaw barrel I can't shoot the longer 55 gr bullets anymore.
With the 50 gr bullets exterminator worked better for me than Tac. I always felt Tac would be better with the heavier bullets.
Some people live and learn but I mostly just live
Best powder I've found for .223 ARs with most bullet weights up to 69 grs. has been H4895, but TAC has been a very close second. Haven't tried it with cast.
Also meters excellently
