Find some smaller gun stores and call them. You might not find what you want, but you can find something that you can learn to use. It's out there, you just gotta round it up. Everybody is looking at the big stores, you need some small town shops on your search list. My local gun supply is actually a small area in the back of a hardware store here, but they got lots of powders.

You may have to buy it online.
Hazmat and shipping is expensive, but if you get it cheap enough it is worthwhile.
I have found it to be cheaper than it is locally.
Get friends to go in with you to share the hazmat costs....dale

What part of the country? Some of us MIGHT know of some out of the way places that stay well-stocked....you might get lucky and find someone fairly close to you willing to share their secrets!

    ?? you just gotta look.
I seen bullseye, pb, 800-x and something else pistol like on the shelf at sportsmans warehouse earlier this week.
they also had 3031,benchmark,H-322, rl-15-17-19 and 22 and several others.
I even picked up a jug of 700-x about a month back they had more there but it was all gone in short order.

you may not get red-dot/2400/unique specifically, but there are other powders pretty super similar
    enough you'll never really notice.

I go to one of the shops in the area. One of them will have what I'm looking for. And if they don't they will w/in a month. Living in a populated area has benefits sometimes.

Five years ago, I made a list of every small/local store within a 100 miles. If the wife and I have any business near any of them, or I am working in the vicinity, I visit those stores. Last few years, the big stores are hardly worth checking, the little guys always have enough to keep me going. just takes some planning.

I've been looking for 5 months or more to find Red dot, bullseye, unique, etc and nada.
Have recently expanded my search to WST, SR7625, SR4756 and still nada.

I did see some IMR 4227 for sale online today which was a first. But reading the description it doesn't exactly sound like the exact right powder for 9mm or 7.62x25 and their small cases.

Getting a little tired of this game.

the only pistol powders + shotgun powders ive ever used are sold out. red dot and unique. the ability to buy primers are there but i dont want to pay another haz fee to get the powder somewhere else for the pistol and another fee for the rifle. when will this end?
my feedback. ive done a few more but never get feedback.

I checked sportsmans yesterday, they had the usually present 50bmg in 1 pounders and 1 8 pounder. I checked again today and they had a variety of powders, even had 8 pounders of 3031, still not much for pistol. If I get the chance, I will check again (just for the heck of it) tomorrow, there should at least be some 50 bmg left. lol

I just got home a bit ago from being told I was going to dinner and then somehow a movie come up at dinner.
but since I had some time to kill in between the two events we swung by the local shop because I wanted to grab a pound of rl-22 for a load test I have in mind.
and I was able to nab two[2] count them,, one-two,,, 8 pound jugs of bulls eye.

I was standing there staring at them [and was starting to break out in a sweat with hope there was some red-dot close by] when the wife and littlegirl happened to come by and grabbed them both while I literally just stood there [in shock]

I even got to see where the 8 pound jugs of unique had been sitting on the shelf earlier in the day.

It seems to be showing up more lately. My local LGS had Unique and BE on the shelf for the first time in 9 months plus a good selection of Reloader powders and some IMR. Primers are also in good supply. Most of the dealers here have a 2 pound limit which I don't mind. Prices are up a little on everything.

The powder out there comes and goes you have to keep
watching and not procrastinate. In the last few months I've picked up a pound of Titegroup, 8 pounds of H110, Lilgun (2), IMR4895 (2) and 2400. Replace it before you are out as in plan ahead. By the way I didn't pay gouger prices on this powder.

definitely do not encourage the gougers.
I paid 124.00 for each jug. [about 16.00 a pound after tax]
littlegirl said this is about 6350 cycles with the HM-2 mold for her 9mm, counting reject rate.

Then you don't plan to shoot much anymore, try your Bass Pro Shop, they get in different assortments and you can check the local store on line. Most of the O/L stores have a 10 # limit, either 10 # total and I don't bother with these stores, or 10 # of a certain powder and a 50 # limit per day.
For pistol & rifles I make a list 1 st choice, then 2nd ect. and on the rifles I look for powders that will work in 223 & 308.

I haven't seen any powder in my area that is less that $23 a pound in a few years, some as much as $28-29 a pound locally. But I cant complain, my stock pile is good and in my area at least we are getting powder now. For me the new normal is anything less than $30 a pound. Primers are all fully stocked $150 per case of 5000 plenty everywhere in town.
