    CVA Apex, Hunter and Scout?

Does anyone have any hands on experience with any of these rifles. There is a Hunter model in .35 Whelan on Buds for $200. A .35 Rem Scout in SS for $300, and lots of Apexes for $400-500.

Any field reports? Any gunsmiths that work on them?

I would like to branch out from H&R. They get harder to deal with with each passing week.

Has anyone ever handled/shot one, especially the Hunter and Scout. I see a model called "Stalker" at Academy but have never talke to anyone that has actually handled one.

Hope you get some feed back here as i've been curious about them myself. Awhile back someone here bought one in i believe 45/70. If i remember right his first loads didn't shoot well and i didn't see any more posts after that. Don't know if he's worked with it anymore or not.
I have an encore but like the looks of the cva grip.

I have a CVA Apex in 45-70. Has a great trigger, better than my Weatherby Vanguard S2 rifles, and is very accurate with my reloads, have not shot any factory rounds through it.

I have a CVA Apex in .308. I agree with Vabachman about the trigger it's great! This is also the only
rifle that has a synthetic stock that I liked, it seems a little softer and doesn't feel like plastic on your cheek. Mine has never seen a jacket bullet. I shoot a Lyman #311291 out of straight wheelweight's
over 28gr of h4895 sized about .310 and lubed with 1 coat of L-alox. If I do my part it will shoot about 1-1.5 most of the time. I wish they would make some more calibers available.
    Thanks/Matt
