I would be interested in seeing the loads from the data sheet for 9mm if possible.

I posted a boatload of data over in this thread on the site..

    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...ify-CSB-powder

Just in case you are curious.. it was a comparison between CSB-1 and NR485.. Post #28 and 29 in that thread.

Hello, brand new here, brand new Glock 19 owner and Brand new to reloading. Anyway I thought I might contribute a little and also gather feedback as appropriate. With lack of powder in the area I ended up buying 8 pounds of CSB-1 from American Reloading.

I worked up the following loads for my 9mm.
Xtreme Plated 115gr, 3.8gn, oal 1.13....I couldn't get it to cylcle.
Xtreme Plated 115gr, 4.0gn, oal 1.14....Seemed to work nicely with less recoil than my regular ammo.
Xtreme Plated 115gr, 4.2gn, oal 1.15....I couldn't tell much of difference between this load and the previous.

Since I don't have a Chrono I may just stick to the 4.2gn for a while and just adjust the OAL. I wasn't sure what to use for OAL so I went long just to be safe.

Open to any advice or criticism. Its the only powder I have ever used so I don't have much of a baseline.

How does this powder meter? It looks a lot like 700X. I'm not saying it ought to shoot like 700x or anything else, JUST that it looks like it dimensionally, appearance wise. 700X meters horribly out of my Lee Autodisk. I wonder if it would meter as badly given the apparent similarity.

CSB-1 meters fine in my Dillon and a Lee perfect powder measure. Have not tried auto disk.

Have used in lee auto disk and meters very consistent. I use 3.5 grains for 148 wadcutters in 38 special . Don't have a chrony but use a 357 Taurus . Lee disk .43 is the one that gives this . Also used for 158 semi wad at 3.9 . I think that was the .46 but I'm not home to look at my book right now.

In the thread about Expansion Industries, it has been pointed out (not proven) this is the same as their ETR7 powder now available. I have some ETR7 and I love it. I have been playing around with loads between TiteGroup and Universal for 38SPL and 45LC. Meters just fine in my trusty old Saeco. Reminds me of TrailBoss without the hole! Lightweight. VERY clean burning.

Hello from Spain to everybody and nice to meet you again!

I'm very proud to see that American shooters and reloaders like CSB 1 since it's a very good smokeless shotshell and pistol powder made by MAXAM in Spain and sold worldwide!

There's a new powder named CSB 1M which is the same as CSB 1 but finer grained. It'll meter better than CSB 1 but ballistically both are the same.

So as to help everyone who wants to load MAXAM powders I'm adding the .pdf file links below.

The first one is a very interesting article about MAXAM powders from the Italian magazine Armi e Tiro, with a lot of pressure tested loading data:

    http://www.maxamcomponents.com/media...%20polveri.pdf

The second one is a link to go to the last MAXAM components catalog where you can find information about its current line of powders and reloading data for them.

    http://www.maxamcomponents.com/media...gue%202015.pdf

Hope you enjoy all these informations!

Baladel - excellent data for a competitive powder to those in the US market. A Big THANKS!
I'm driving down to Expansion Industries the end of the month to buy 16 pounds of the powder. Will provide for a lot of reloading at a reasonable price
    Regards
    John
