    Amps Required for a Lee 220V Pot

    Just bought an almost new (well pretty dang close to new) 220v Lee Pro 4-20 pot.
    I was in need of 220v line anyway for aircompressor and things so no biggy in adding the pot.
    What I need to know is if any1 here has researched how many amps are required for the device.
    I have a call into Lee, but its Sunday and Monday is Presidents Day. So any info is greatly
    appreciated.

    I used to use the VxW=A formula all the time for solar panel installs and just forgot it like I was a dolt.
    Anyway....for future reference of members
    W/V=Amps pulled
    700/220= 3.18

    VxW=A ?????

    You edited your post, and yet this formula remained. I'm curious.

    There is no need for anything else - the draw is under 3.5 Amp and your 3.18 is pretty much exact.

    The Formula is Volts X Watts equals Amperage. So 700 Watts divided by 220 Volts equals 3.18 Amps.
    For giggles, a 700 Watt element on a 110 circuit would be 6.36 Amps. They would be equal in the amount of power they use because your power bill is based on Kilowatt-hours. The 110 volt circuit would require a larger wire size due to the increased amperage and the circuit breaker protection would be higher.

    WxV = A = W/V ?????

    You guys had a different math teacher than I did.

    And for the record it's - Volts x Amps = Watts.
    So you can derive W/V=A and W/A =V
