    My New Ruger SR1911

Shot a quick video of the first rounds through the Ruger given to me by my employers in recognition of 10 years service. I'm shooting a cast bullet from an old H&G Mold# 68 200 grain SWC sized to .452 and lubed with Carrnuba Red on top of 4.5 grains of Red Dot primed with a CCI300. A very nice mild load that I will step up some next time out. Hope you enjoy it. Dennis

I worked for a company 20 years and never got anything like that. Very nice 1911. I wish I had one like it.

I got a nice watch for 30 yrs service, but not even close to your nice Ruger pistol.

    Congratulations! Pretty neat company, apparently.

Nice piece. I must say that I am jealous that your 1911 seems to spit your cases out rather consistently back. My kimber throws them forward as much as it does back LOL. Nice gift and good fun load. Thanks for the vid.

I've worked for the same place over 30 years, they gave me money and I bought lots of guns with the money.

I'll be sharing your post with my co-worker who wants the Ruger SR1911 in a manner that runs deeper than an intellectual way.

Congrats! I just found that load, actually 4.0 grains RD, but it's the most accurate load I have shot from a 1911.

After 30 years in my own business the only thing I got was Obama telling me I didn't build it.

Congrats to you, nice 1911 for sure.

I noticed this on the second magazine of ammo, I find the bed of the pickup makes a very handy brass catcher!

My wifes cousin just ordered one a couple weeks ago.
The little middle-of-nowhere shop he ordered it from told him he was 38th on the list.
I love my Eclipse, but I've not read the first bad thing about the SR1911's.
If I had it to do over, that'd be the route I'd go. Then get the frontstrap checkered with part of the money I had saved.

Wow 38th that kind of sucks I know where one is that has been out on the shelf for 2 weeks. I sure wish I could figure a way of coming up with the money. I have one and love it I would like to get my son one for his graduation
