I have never seen it. I would like to have though. I have a 1-30 twist GM barrel that I bet would shoot those paper patched. Where did you get that one? Ron

Ron, it's been so long I don't remember. I was thinking of filling a 45 Colt case with FFFg and using it to push that bullet up past the chamber in a single shot H&R carbine. The mold was made for this rifle.

    Here's the mold.

My fast twist .45 TC New Englander is made with a .458 bore so I don't think patching it would work.

    That one is 350 gr.
Your .458 might not work but I would try it to make sure. You can adjust the thickness of the paper to make it fit.
I got a RCBS 11mm mould that is .446 for my .451 rifle. I am planning to try them in my .458 just to see what happens. Ron

I will see if I can't get in some casting time.
Maybe it will work in the H&R with a FFFg packed 45Colt case topped with a wax cookie. Maybe load it like a Sharps carbine. Have to see how much can be drop tubed into the case.

Gotta be the most funner hobby there ever was.

The bands are .445"-.446" and have about one to two thou interference fit with the bore. The 45Colt case will easy hold 40 grains and a wax cookie. This might work.
Maybe I really have a H&R "Sharps" and don't know it yet.
