I have heard - never tried it or had confirmation - 4350 works well for cast in a 30-30. Full case of the stuff. Not the original question, I know, but just some information for later consideration maybe.

Any idea how it performed for him? Apparently it does not produce the highest velocity but gives good accuracy with j-words in the 30-30. I like it for its for case without overload properties. It works well with lower load densities with wheat bran filler and cast without gas checks.I do know he has used 4350 with the J word's.

I made a custom brass powder measure (similar to the old Pacific one charge rotary measure if you ever saw one) that I adjusted to throw 2.2gr. B'eye for use in my .32 Long. Three throws yield 6.6gr. that I hope works well for 150 gr. PB's in the .30-30's and .303 Savages.
Lazer cast (.309/170/2.55/PB/LLA) with Unique works in my 30-30 336, but so far is not very accurate. Of course it was 102 deg and most of the spread was horizontal, so I'll keep working this load. Got to get some .311 to se if that makes an improvement.
