I have been hankering for one of those 1885,s.
Just dropped another one off at my smith,s along with a barrel. Hopefully I will have another one soon.
I think Dick Thompson likes that one. I bought some from him, but have not shot them.
Any of you hunters tagged a deer with your .41 yet?
Mine also has no. 1 wood. I shot it and an old model Blackhawk a few days ago. At fifty yards it grouped about one inch with some hand loads using jacketed sillhouett bullets, I do not know who made...
You have to love this thread. I have owned at least one .41 cal. revolver for 30+ years. I now have Marlins, Blackhawk,s Contenders and a Ruger No. 3 with a custom McGowan .41 cal. barrel. Yes, I was...
I would have thought they were all on the same receiver.
I was also waiting for a side gate. Guess I will just have to get by without a Henry of any kind. I have Marlins in .41 and .32.

I had cast some round nose .41 cal. gluelits a couple years ago and had gotten sidetracked. I have had a rat problem, caught a few in traps but seems some were too smart for traps, so I drug out the...
I loaded these a couple years ago, I believe I coated the cavitys with a light coat of oil. Filled with a glue gun then cut the sprue with a pocket knife. The flash hole must be drilled a little...
Didn,t think about posting this until now. I recently purchased another, yes another, Blackhawk in .41 Mag. of course. About a week later I managed to nail a large rat with an, 0r a, glue bullet...
I realize this is an old thread, but does anyone know of a barrel maker or someone who might rebore a barrel for an xd-m?
For those of us who like our .41 cal. Blackhawk,s in stainless steel, Davidsons has had Ruger produce a standard Blackhawk in stainless. A merry Christmas it is!
Any big or small game fallen to the mighty .41 this season?
DEC/JAN The article was titled "Revolver Cartridges in Rifles".
Did anyone see the article by Layne Simpson in Shooting Times?

Lee Martin owner of Single Actions.com has done the .375 Atomic it is a standard 1.40 in.case. He has wrote up an article there on his site.
The idea is not to make a magnum out of it, there are plenty of those. The special cartridge is meant to be used in a smaller more compact firing platform, where a magnum is neither needed or wanted....
This months Handloader magazine has the first of a two part article by Brian Pearce on the .41 Special, shows a few loads.
