Forum: Reloading Equipment
Thanks Binky,
That's what I'm running in to. Was hoping someone was 3D printing but so far nothing.

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement primer catcher for the old Spar-T turret press? The T-mag's won't fit.
TIA,
Vern

When I first got my 9.3x57, moulds were hard to find, jacketed expensive. Swaged pure lead in a CH/4D .358 dies with 1/2 jackets (after casting cores myself). Then patched up to .368. Very accurate...

I've been using Lymans 358627. Feeds well through a Rem 700. Shoots even better. Best is terminal performance on deer.

I've used beeswax 55 years old. Could see no difference between that or fresh.

You can also go online to WI's DNR and print out a copy of your Hunter certificate. Believe it was $2.75 - and I got mine about 20 years ago.
Forum: Factory & Surplus Powder
Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure about different kinds of plastic affecting powder. I want to repackage the all metal (IMR) powders. I thought if there were surface rust on the can it would...
Forum: Factory & Surplus Powder
I went to an estate sale yesterday and purchased around 40 lbs of powder. All of it smells and looks good, but some of the metal cans have surface rust. Almost all the cans are still sealed. I...
I wish they would bring back the C309-190-F (or was it -FN?).

Forum: Cast Boolits
Thanks Michael. As chance would have it, it's 60 here today <grin>. It's a chalky color and will not bend - just breaks. I also smacked a chunk with a hammer and it crumbled and fell apart. I...

Is there an easy way to tell if wax is microcrystalline or common run of the mill canning paraffin wax? I inherited about a 10 lb slab from my father awhile back and at the time I assumed it was...

At least keep the nut cases name out of print. If they don't get thier 15 minutes of fame perhaps we won't get the copy cats.

In addtion to the .338 and the .348, Hornady has also discontinued the 6MM and 270.

Some guys are using 220 swift brass to make 303 savage brass. Of course, the rim is smaller but it works in most '99's, including mine. At least it's worth a try without taking out a loan. Also...
I melt lube in boiling water. When it's cool it forms a nice sheet on top of the water that is easy to remove intact. Slightly warmed you can roll it or fold it into the shape you want.

I have a couple of the "Jacketed Juglar" designs, but never knew anything about them, including the title. Do you know if they are designed to run through a sizer/luber after seating the cores? Or...
I'd be interested in the 33-200 FN 2 hole if it's excess to your needs. Perhaps we can work out a swap.
Forum: Gas Checks
I never said 338 checks are larger than 35 caliber checks. I said 338 checks are larger than 348 checks. I meant I. D. - as in fitting on the gas check shank. 338 checks have an I. D. of .330 -...
Forum: Gas Checks
I picked up 2000 checks at a gun show a while back for a really cheap price. The dealer had somehow dumped 1000 338 and 1000 348 checks together. No big deal, when I needed 348 checks I just spread...
Forum: Gas Checks
Try sizing them down. If it doesn't work, you're only out a few gas checks. Or do as Felix said earlier and get some .348 checks - they are smaller than .338 checks. Perhaps someone can send you...

Try USPS. They have small and large global priority flat rate envelopes for $5.25 and $9.50. The weight limit is 4 lbs on either and thier web site says it's for various items including...
