I've been using 400 to 450 grain slugs at 900 to 1200 f/s.

Anyone using 525 grain slugs in 500 Linebaugh. Just got in a batch and looking for a place to start. Appreciate any help/comment.

In my 500 Linebaugh, I use 11 grains of Tightgroup behind a 435 WLN-PB for 971 f/s. Hodgdens says 29000 PSI which is a mid range type of load. No sign of flame cutting, just the normal burned...

Maybe this is a bit off topic but......with hollow points, can you get an accurate BHN using the LBT tester by turning the bullet upside down? That's the only way I can see you can do the testing.

A 260 grain Keith SWC does it for me. I load it to 950 f/s in a OM Ruger.

I use the LBT BHN tester. A google search of LBT Hardness Tester will tell you all you need to know.
