Can't find load data for 2400 in 7.62x39
I don't want to run max but I'm at
15.5 gr. with a Lee 155 g/c and it is just starting to function the action on my Mini-30 and is accurate. SKS functioned at 14.5gr

Failure is not an Option
Usually with 2400 you will reach the point where accuracy will go away before you reach the max load.

I found 20 gr to be a max psi load (measured via Oehler m43 PBL in a Mini Mk X) in the 7.62x39 cartridge using the Lee C312-155-1R in cases using LR primers. However, as mentioned accuracy went south at about 17 - 18 gr.

16.0 grains of 2400 with the rcbs 30-165-Sil bullet (.309" diameter) has been my max load for that powder. I shoot two different bolt actions (both with a .308" bore), but I bump up the bullet diameter to .312" with powder coating for my SKS, and the 16.0 grain load is also max for it as well. Accuracy begins to drop off at 16.5 grains, and takes a nose dive at 17.0 grains. Plus, at 17 grains the SKS launches the empty cases off into the next county.
