    two unmarked H & G 35 cal. "project" molds

EDIT: The Iron mold blocks are without a reasonable doubt made by Modern Bond. See post #8

You are bidding on two molds (everything seen in the photos below), one price takes both, shipping is included in bid price.

Auction ends January 22, Saturday, Noon CST (Minnesota) Starting bid is $9 to cover shipping to USA address in Flat rate box.

    Payment:
I prefer Paypal F&F, but will take a USPS MO. I will consider personal check from a member I've done a deal with before.

Both of these molds are a "As Is" project, they will need some work to function properly.

    Here's the story.
These two molds were in a package deal with some H & G molds I bought. I was told they are all H & G molds. While these two aren't marked H & G, they are the same sprue plate design, block design, handle mounting design...BUT with one caveat, the slot for the handles is larger, they fit Lee style handles snuggly, but H & G handles too loosely. I believe them to be H & G, but I suppose they could be someone's attempt to clone H & G's mold block/sprue plate design?

The Iron blocks, come without sprue plate and screws, the alignment pins/blocks fit together nicely and are marked B-358-705, and I judge the cavities to be about 160gr Round nose. There appears to be a broken off screw (setscrew for Handle mount screw) in the block, I didn't attempt to remove it, see last photo.

The Brass blocks, come as shown with sprue plate and all screws. This mold doesn't appear to be used? The alignment pins are protruding out way too far(see last photo for comparison), but the blocks still close tight and sprue plate functions and locks the blocks together, Just like the H & G style dictates. No marking at all on the blocks, the person I got it from, speculated this was a Prototype Nose pour 158gr SWC mold.

My thoughts were to try the brass mold after adjusting the alignment pins, if it works, great. Then maybe use all the hardware/sprue plate as a guide to make another sprue plate for the iron mold. Then have two working molds. BUT, I never got to it...Time to pass this project to someone else.

    Happy Bidding !

Could also be Cramer. Some of my Cramer moulds look like H&G moulds. If the number on the one is correct for a Cramer bullet that could be correct.
Since this is an auction, I'll bid $75.

A long time member of castboolits (Johnny_Cyclone) sent me a PM in reference to the Iron mold and the number on it. The evidence provided seems to prove without a reasonable doubt, that it's a Modern Bond mold.
