Used mine today for the first time. It was a simple operation of decapping w/ a Lee Universal decapping die. Had a bunch of primed 44mag and special that were in a loading lot I bought. All primers came out easily and all are still useable. Somehow I managed to pinch my pinky on the next to last cartridge. Not quite sure how I did it. Guess I let it drop and it got in the way. No damage done and you sure are aware of where your fingers are while using if

Hawk: If you remove the primer catcher it will allow the Shuttle to go down farther and you will be able to seat your long bullets.

I'm just a dumb desert rat, never would have thought of that.

Got out to shoot today, those 220 grain loads were going into 1.25 to 1.75" excluding flyers (my fault) out of a Miroku/Winchester 1895 SRC. Not to shabby for 100 yard iron sight work (for me anyway). Still early on in the load development stage but obviously the Buchanan Precision Machine Hand Press is capable of producing some fine loads.

    Thanks again, Randy!

    Hi,
    Nice vid Randy!

I had some questions in mind when I started watching it....

Maybe second guessing you, but you answered all of them for me!

I think I would use it clamped on the table, although as I see it, the big advantage for this hand press is you need no table as a regular press would require!

It seems a hand press such as this, would be desirable in a "bug out" scenerio or Prepper type tool, where your moving in the field?

    Pretty slick, Amigo!

Heh, sorry Randy. Guess I assumed it was Artful as I thought on another video of his he had the same grey goatee. But then again how many of us don't have grey/white whiskers?

Any chance you can re-up your picture. I would like to see which version it is.

    From
Here's a picture of the Huntington I got from the house I helped clean out.
Haven't had a need to use it yet.
I think Buchanan's looks much better made.

    Hand Press Pictures

OK here's the re-up on pictures.

These tools are currently in stock and ready to ship.

You can go to my Website at www.buchananprecisionmachine.com and pick one up.

I recommend that you get the case at the same time as there is a price break on the combo as well as shipping.

There is an Article coming in "Handloader Magazine" soon and when that hits I will be swamped with orders and may not be able to fill them all in a timely manner, so if you are interested in getting one for yourself or more for Christmas Gifts, I suggest getting on board soon.

The price is where it will be for the foreseeable future, so don't worry about it going up any more, I had to adjust the price from the initial offering as I sold the first 50 too low and had to correct it due to a higher cost to manufacture than I had originally anticipated.

These are not cheap or easy to produce and there is a lot to each and every one. I assure you that you will be getting your money's worth because the quality of this tool is second to none and previous customers can confirm that.

I would also ask that any of you that did purchase from me goto my Website and leave a review on the tool.

It is worth every penny. I find myself using it for small runs instead of mounting one of the presses to the bench.

Randy, admittedly I am not good with computers, but I do not see an opportunity on your website to leave a review.

I am asking everyone who bought one to come to www.buchananprecisionmachine.com and click on the "hand press" and then click on "Write a Review."

Have had a couple of guys do it by not as much participation as I had hoped for. I don't know if it is because of the 50 people who bought them, only two actually like the tool, or what?

I do know that Brian Pearce loved it and his review will be in Handloader Magazine soon.

Friends, I don't know if it is the correct place or if I'm allowed to do this.

Handloader Magazine Feb/17 made a nice write up on Randy's press, I'm attaching it here for your amusement.

Victor Fox Where did you get this? I hadn't even seen it yet. Did you get your new issue of Handloader already?

And there is no problem posting this here and hopefully others will read it and get one!
