What .014 aluminum are the GCs made from?

You " Da man " Mugs ! !
Great Shooting.
Lube in the g/c shank area only.....Ummm ? ? You didn't experience any leading. Well I guess the groups speak for themselves, Right ?
Thanks for helping me with the .014 AL also !

Alum. flashing, Amerimax brand sold by Ace hardware. On their website Amerimax claims they use a softer alloy to resist cracking when formed on a brake. Works great on one of Pat Marlins ck. tools.

I found that if I fill the lube groove I get a very heavy lube star, and fliers that I think is from lube purgeing. I've had good luck with Speed Green also. Got some FWFL in the works to try later.

Larry,
I've made some 30 caliber gas checks from that same flashing that a gracious member sent me a sample to play with. It looks like it's okay up to .310 diameter so far.
Joe
Mugs, were those groups shot at 100 yds?
Mr. Bill2

Mugs I know this is about your gas check making but I've always heard the 200 gr Sil. was a tough nut to crack. I guess you proved it'll work. Good shooting
"6.5x54MS 6.5Kurtz with my .092 aluminum checks"
No flames here but you guys need to get enough 0's behind that decimal point, .092 is real close to 3/32(.0938)
Now if your making checks for the 20MM or the 105 then maybe!!
Or better yet, them 16 inchers on the Arizona!!

Shoot straight, keepem in the ten ring.
it's the lead fumes, everybody knows that lead makes you nuts.
.092, forming them with 20 ton press Joe?
Mugs very impressive!

.092"?
6.5mm =.256"
.071" dia. shank on the bullet.
Are you drawing your cups not forming them?
Okay let's straighten this out. Calamity pointed out I left a zero out after the decimal. The flashing I use for my 6.5 bullets is .0092 thickness.
