The other side of that coin is sometimes you get a real bargain. Just because the vendor does not have a clue that the odd bit they chucked in as an ""extra" or "probably belongs" is actually where the value is

True true friend Jhon. I still remember a regular dealer in Lyman and Ideal reloading stuff telling me after a sale that he almost didn't offer a clamp for an early Ideal Lubrisizer because he didn't;t think anyone would bid on it... yes, I sucked that up quick than dust in a vacuum cleaner! I guess it all just goes to show that if we want to find stuff, we need to look carefully and know what we're looking for.

I managed to buy two of those over the last several years to complete a couple of real nice #1's that I bought missing the clamp . RCBS makes a clamp that might work on those and look decent doing it but I have never been able to find one I could compare to be sure . They are right at $50 last time I saw one so I'd want to be sure before I bought one.

yeah, Eddie. The small parts, notably that clamp, the "wrench" to operate the feed, and that little spider type top on the reservoir all seem to get lost. I now have 4 complete except for one top that I think and hope is just lost in the mess on my workbench.

I was at an auction recently. One was a carton listed as three reloading presses, one Lee..I got it for $NZD 20. The next carton had two 3 Hole turrets, complete with die sets, an RCBS Berdan depriming kit, some vintage RCBS reloading trays and a couple of other nice bits. Also $20.

The presses turned out to be a complete Lee 3 hole turret with a turret and in good order, then a Lyman Lubrisizer with the lovely little ratchet driver and two dies - the silver & black model. The third was a stainless home made large cal bullet sizing press with 4 dies. I sold the Lee for $130 with a 2nd turret and a good clean, the Lyman for $146. The 2nd box had two 3 hole turrets with Lee Autodisk rifle double disk setups on Lee Powder thru long rifle dies and with 2 different cal 2-die sets of Lee rifle dies. Plus a bunch of miscellaneous stuff..sold rifle dies for $35 and $45. Kept the rest.

Sometimes you get lucky. And the guys who bought the stuff were pretty happy with their buy prices. I did spend all day sitting thru the auction tho and paying attention to the miscellaneous "crap" stuff at the end of the day when half the room had departed.

There is one for sale right now but the price is almost $80 . I'd give that with the wrench but not for just the clamp.

These are surplus to my needs. .30-40 Krag die set and a nice looking 310 box with no inserts. Are these anything anybody’s needing?

Froggie, I'd say that being complete with a #15 adapter, you are under the market value by a good margin. Has this audience noticed that recently on that auction site, there were three sets of steel universal handles for sale at once? I think all topped $100 and I didn't stay in that long, sadly.
