What About "Do-All" Lube?

That stuff is known to me as a bandsaw lube.

In the 1980s, my Dad mixed it, maybe 50/50, with probably Alox/Beeswax and at least once with a moly wheel bearing grease. The black version did not run at 110F placed as a little dab on a red motorcycle fender in the sun... And it gave 2" groups at 100 yards out of two M1 Carbines with a Lyman 120 or so gas check bullet at about 1820 fps.

His theory was that it was designed to lube by vaporizing on the bandsaw, and sort of "float" the two metals apart.

I've read a heap of the posts here in the Lubes forum but not seen anything about it. The stuff is light green and softly solid at room temperature.

Wish I would have asked him what the two mixes were...you might be pleased to know that he did manage to have a lifetime supply of lead and ammo. And good and bad jokes.

So, what do you think?

Some people had good fortune with Do-All Tool Saver in the 1980's.
I found that I got zero leading when shooting wheel weights in a 7-08 (we're talking no lead with high power loadings) but I never found an accurate load.

Any others used the Tool Saver?
Actually found a couple of sticks of it in the lube making supplies.
Must have bought it down off of I-45 on the south side of Houston decades ago.
