    Flash paper for cartridge forming

Has anybody attempted using magician flash paper for cartridge forming? Just wondering if it would work. It’s available online and not super expensive.

How much is flash paper per pound? Cheaper than smokeless powder?

Why risk blowing up when using regular powders for fire forming is well known.

I'm thinking the OP is talking about forming paper cartridges...
Rights, and Privileges, are not synonymous. We have the Right to Bear Arms. As soon as the Government mandates firearm registration, and permiting, then that Right becomes a Privilege, and may be taken away at our Master's discretion.

I use TrueWave end papers with good results. I have heard of people using flash paper, but I don't remember the results.

Looking at Amazon, it seems expensive comparatively. Flash paper was the original standard back in the day. Nitrated paper is more stable than flash paper and you can make it yourself or purchase it. I've made nitrated paper but never went the flash paper route due to stability concerns.

Potassium nitrated paper has one advantage over flash paper: it's much easier and safer to make. Nitric and sulphuric acids are not something a novice should play with. Flash paper is also rumoured to spontaneously ignite.

I was just curious? I have not tried to make nitrated paper. When I was thinking about making the paper for some reason the flash paper came to my mind.
