I bought a 1849 pocket revolver in the 90s from an online site. It shot ok…not a target gun but to 15 yards it could easily hit the head on my targets. One day while shooting it I noted the stop bolt was not locking up the cylinder so causing the chambers to over rotate and and chamber didn’t match up.The barrel fit tight to the frame. I then noted the stop bolt was not raising up enough to lock the cylinder in place. The cylinder bolt has two thin legs opposite the bolt end. One seemed bent inward. Upon cycling the action I noted only on of the legs would make contact with the poorly made pin on the frame. The legs of the bolt do not get full contact on the area where the lifting part of the frame makes contact with the bolt legs. I was wondering where to get part for my pistol. I’ll need at least a bolt, possibly a trigger(lost it in a recent move). I like to work on my guns, but if the cast bump that lifts the bolt properly is buggered up I’ll need a new plan.
I live outside of Flippin Arkansas….any help to locate a good smith for CB pistols within 150 miles or so would be appreciated!!!
