    Just doing a follow up. A lot has changed on my Carcano in two years. I’ve modified the stock and shortened the barrel, plus I added a ramp front sight.

    Nice looking rifle. I bet it handles well too. My modifying days are behind me now (at 84+ yrs.) but I like what you have done to that rifle. james

    Since several of you have suggested using data from the 30-30 and 300 Savage as a starting load, it crossed my mind to use the 6.5 Carcano 140 and 150 loads as a starting place. Same case, bigger bore, same weight bullets…. Lower pressure?
