    800x

I know it’s discontinued but does anyone have an idea about how I can find some?

About two weeks ago, American Reloading was selling MP209 and listing it as "similar to" 800x.
    It is sold out now.
I did pick up a 4# jug, but haven't had the time to do anything with it other than eyeball it and go "yup...big flakes".,
So I can't vouch for how close it is.

I'd be interested to hear why you are looking for some, and what your uses/loads are...

It shows up now and then at reloading shops that buy out old timers. For me, it also shows up once or twice a year on the Florida Gun Trader site. You just have to keep looking. I was down to 1.5lbs about two years ago but I have snagged some here and there and I'm up to 14lbs now. That's basically 10mm for the rest of my days quantity. My wife can pour the balance over my casket when I kick off.

I have a pound or two leftover from my "full power .41 magnum" days. I can use it for reduced loads but since it doesn't meter at all I seem to be using it up slowly.

A month ago there was 2lbs of it at a local shop down here for $35/lb. I passed since I'm full up, but I can check with them this week and see if it's still there.
