Thinking about seeing if a LGS wants to trade some antique powder they have for an NIB .22lr PPK/s I've got. They've got 6 bottles of HS-6 that's the plastic with the old paper labels making it at least 11 years old and 2 cans of IMR-4198 in metal cans making it over 23 years old. I could use the HS-6 in most of my revolvers and the 4198 in my .22Hornet, or maybe it was my .30Carbine, one of the two. I mainly want it for the neat cans. I'm thinking those plus maybe a manual or two I don't have and maybe a package of brass if they have any for anything I shoot. I don't foresee getting around to shooting the impulse buy Walther. Not sure if I'm crazy on the swap equivalence or not.

Getting back at it after a few years. My powder supply was stored in less than ideal conditions so I'm looking to replace all of it. So recently I picked up H110, hs6, red and green dot. I should go back for some trail boss they had in stock too.

Bit the bullet and ordered an eight pounder jug of Unique.

Bought some VVN130 at Blue Collar Reloading in Salisbury, NC last Friday, they have a good selection of components.

I have been using N130 to replace IMR 4198 that is hard to find and cost more. Works great for 30-06 and 303 with cast but do have up the charge a bit.

Missoula Gun Show was this weekend. Got 3 of the plastic jars of H4895 for $20 a jar. Oh, and a sealed 4 lb. keg of SR 4759 for $150.

Picked up two pounds of Ramshot X-Terminator at Runnings yesterday. Don't want to waste my IMR 4895 on 55gr plinking loads, will save that for heavier bullets lol

Didn't buy any today, but the local non-chain real gun store, had all of my old standbys available. I saw Bullseye, Unique, red Dot, 2400, 3031, Reloader 7 and many many more. It looks like the powder shortage is over for a while. Luckily, I need to use up a bit of my hoarded powder, some being 23 years old. I was a bit shocked at Reloader 7 being listed at $83.99/lb! The 8lb keg of Unique at $441 was a bargain in comparison.

When the supply is low the prices increase.

Drove over to LGS and picked up 1 pound each of H4895, H335, and BLC-2. I've got a pile of brass the size of Mt Rushmore and it's time to put those lazy boys back to work.
