    Talking I gifted a Lee Loader kit to my nephew to get him started.

    My nephew just had his 16th birthday, so I went on Amazon.com to order a Lee Loader .44 Magnum kit as he uses a lever carbine for hunting. It just arrived today and he found the package on their doorstep when he arrived home from baseball practice.

    I figure he will upgrade to a bench mounted single stage or turret press kit sometime after graduating college when he gets into his own place. That will likely be six years from now. Until then the Lee Loaders are perfect.

    Get him two (at least) good manuals. I like the Lee and Lyman manuals as my usual first looks. YMWV

    Please tell him to lube the cases. Those big handgun rounds need a 10 pound sledgehammer to size them. I know, I have one and do the sizing on a press for the .44 mag.

    The .44 Magnum set doesn’t work according to the instructions, period_ I can lube all I want, but unless I use a sledgehammer... well, if one is happy with partial sizing, maybe..._
    this in my experience, but maybe I'm me_
    Food is overrated. A nice rifle is way more important.

    I started with a Lee Loader in 30-06 way back in 1963. I have one for every caliber I own. It has been a few years since I actually used them as I moved on to RCBS RC and C&H tools. My memory is that the Lee Loder does not full length resize, but I could be wrong. james
