Born to be wild bro!! I always wear leather gloves and a shop apron while casting. Once, long ago, I accidentally touched the corner of an RCBS 44 caliber mold to the side of my arm. It took 30 years for that scar to go away. You do it the way that you feel safest; me, once burned twice shy.

My laptop had some kind of glitch and I couldn't watch the video. Got it straightened out yesterday and that was the first thing I watched. I have a new Lee six cavity and a double cavity on the bench. Looks great and both are going to have your prep. Thanks.

Veddy interesting! I only have a few lee molds, but I am definitely filing this one in my repertoire for the next mold I get. It seems to be much faster than my old method, and the tip on the lead not sticking is a good one to use on allsprue plates, regardless of material. Thanks for sharing.

I have purchased Lee mold handles that had the two mold mounting surfaces slightly misaligned, preventing the mold from closing properly. I bent them so that they were even with each other, and they worked fine after that.
I haven't bought a Carpenter's Pencil in years ...
so I looked on-line at Home Depot ... they have them , price ... $0.20...Twenty Cents ... that seems very reasonable ...
I'm gonna get me a new one !
Maybe Two new one's !
