Annealer review.

My 45-70 brass was failing to seal in the chamber after 8 reloads, and had 1 case with the case mouth starting to split. I had previously annealed brass with the socket and torch method, but thought it was time to treat myself.
At just over $200, I decided to give the EP 2.0 annealer a try. No auto feed, just by hand, annealed 250 pieces in 45 min. Also did 500 357 mag and 500 44 mag at a similar rate, and still have propane left in the 14oz cylinder. All the cases had a nice even annealing, and sealed the chambers well.
A worthwhile investment that speeds up the process, and with the cost of new brass these days, the EP2.0 pays for itself quickly.

I bought an Ugly Annealer almost 2 years ago. Wow, what a huge difference! The brass is lasting longer, and the performance is consistent. Of note, the .45 Colt and the .45-70 brass have shown the most improvement. If you had asked me about annealing straight wall cases a few years ago, I'd have asked you why I'd do such a silly thing. But holy cow, what a difference it makes. And I've not worn out any brass either. My annealer has a auto feeding hopper so I load everything up at once to get perfectly uniform firings every time. I also anneal before every loading/reloading now.

I have a Burstfire that I have been very happy with. Everything from .300 blackout to .308 win have been no problem.

My shooting partner uses an AGS with inserts. He leaves his setup all the time. I use a Bench Source. It takes me about 10 minutes to setup. 200 cases takes 15 minutes for me. We anneal every time we reload. Extreme spread in the teens. Of course there's other things that contribute to this too.
